Advanced Character Profile

Character Name: Ella (Queen Ella Charmant)
Gender: Female
Age and Date of Birth: 22; September 6th

Used Canons: Cinderella (2015)

Appearance: Ella is tall (5'7"), but small. Upon meeting her for the first time, her step-sister Anastasia remarked (rather negatively) about her tiny waist, and her feet are so dainty she has an entire shoe size to herself. She has long blonde hair that is naturally wavy and curly that she parts down the middle and keeps out of her face by way of braids, pins, or sheer scarves. She has a straight nose, kind brown eyes and an easy, expressive smile. She is partial to light-weight blue dresses with three-quarter length sleeves and skirts, and has kept her look even after becoming Queen, choosing to wear upscale attire only when attending to official court business.
Personality: Have courage, and be kind.
Ella is a headstrong and independent young woman who doesn't let her anger and sorrow get the better of her. She is kind to most, but is in no way naive or childish. She can be slightly sarcastic as a means of coping with difficult and stressful situations (namely her stepmother), but usually keeps such comments to herself, fully (and wisely) aware that mouthing off can have major consequences. She is intelligent and clever - she enjoys reading and discussing literature and world views, especially about the rights of animals, and can hold her own in a political sparring match over moral topics. She is brave, and will stand up for herself and for others when she knows she is right, even in the face of people who could easily make her life much harder than it is. She is resourceful patient, and calm, though can be clumsy when experiencing unexpected rudeness. (x)
Any Unique Abilities/Skills: Kinship with animals; while unable to "speak" to animals directly, with her kind heart and willingness to understand, Ella can communicate with animals by way of sensing their wants or needs; for this kindness, animals often try to look after Ella as surely as she looks after them.

History:
Ella was born to wealthy parents on a beautiful estate in a peaceful kingdom. From a young age she was taught by her mother to believe in magic, which encouraged her to befriend many animals on the estate, especially the mice (people take care of animals, and fairy godmothers take care of people). She spent a lot of time with her mother, as her father was a travelling merchant, and the two were very close. Upon returning from one trip, giving Ella a small paper butterfly from his travels, her mother suddenly falls ill, and soon dies. On her deathbed, she calls Ella in and gives her words to live by: "Have courage, and be kind." Ella promised her mother that she always would.
Years later, when Ella was a teenager, while living happily with her father, her father expresses the desire to find happiness again, and Ella gives him her blessing to get married again. He chooses Lady Tremaine, a widow of an old business acquaintance, and she, and her two daughters, Anastasia and Drisella, move into the estate. Ella welcomes her new family warmly, despite her stepsisters less-than-pleasant attitudes. They lived together, learning to get along, but Ella felt isolated from her new family, who seemed more interested in material possessions than in the simple things she enjoyed. On the eve of another of her father's departures, as the two were saying their goodbyes, Lady Tremaine overheard Ella's father telling Ella how much he loves and will miss her, and her mother. Jealousy brews.
Her father never returned from his trip, having contracted a disease and dying overseas. Ella smiles through her tears, and comments  on how hard it must have been for the man to deliver such news as her heart breaks and her stepmother reels at the loss of income. All of the servants were dismissed from the estate, and tricks Ella into not only giving up her room for Anastasia and Drisella to share, but into moving into the attic and doing all household chores. Her spirit breaking, Ella complies, and tries her best to be happy, revealing to a former servant that she couldn't leave the house her mother loved. Her attic room too cold to sleep in, she would often sleep on the rug by the fire in the kitchen, and awaken with soot all over her, prompting her stepsisters to create the nickname "Cinderella" for her, a nickname Lady Tremaine takes to immediately; even Ella starts to refer to herself with that name, crushed by their cruelty and unable to see a way out of her life.
Grieving for her future, upset about her circumstances, but still unable to leave her house behind, she rides her horse into the woods, comes across an elk, and meets a hunter in the royal hunting party - an apprentice in the palace named Kit. After a lengthy conversation about hunting animals for sport, she convinces him to call off the hunt, and he does so, enchanted by her charm, kindness, and unique outlook on life. Despite not knowing her name, he becomes infatuated with her, and she with him, and began again to hope for a better future.
Soon after, every eligible maiden in the land is invited to attend a ball at the royal palace, and Ella is eager to attend and see Kit again. As the ball is intended to find the Prince of the Kingdom a wife, Lady Tremaine and her daughters are also ecstatic about the ball, but refuses to let Cinderella join them on their way out, tearing apart her home-made dress so she could not follow. As they leave, Ella runs to the garden in tears, and comes across an old beggar woman, who asks for some bread or milk. Putting on a kind face despite her tears, Ella replies, "Of course!" and rushes to get the beggar woman some buttermilk. Upon (noisily) drinking the milk, the beggar woman transforms into Ella's Fairy Godmother, and, with a bit of difficulty in finding the right materials, is able to transform garden objects and animals into a proper carriage to take Ella to the ball - a pumpkin into a gold-and-glass carriage, a goose into a coach, four mice into white horses, and two lizards into footmen. She then transforms Ella's dress, one of her mother's, into a gorgeous blue gown accented with butterflies and glass slippers. Ella expresses how much her mother would have loved it, and travels to the ball with the understanding all of it would come undone on the last stroke of midnight.
She reaches the ball just before the first dance, attracting everyone's attention, and is claimed for the first dance by the man she had come to see - Kit, who was, to her surprise, the Prince of the Kingdom. They dance happily together, and leave the ball to walk the gardens, talking, learning each other, and falling in love. Before he can learn her name, however, the clock begins to strike, and Ella leaves as quickly as she could, leaving a glass slipper behind as she dashed back into the carriage and they ran for home. Before they reach the estate grounds, the carriage vanishes, the animals return to their true form, and Ella's dress transforms back into the ruined form of her mother's... all but the glass slipper. She hides it underneath the floorboards of the attic, near the paper papillon her father had given her, trinkets of her mother's, and the branch she had requested from his last trip.
Lady Tremaine finds out Ella was the mysterious princess due to her drastic change in attitude, and corners her in the attic. She demands Ella make her head of the Royal Family (practically the ruler of the country), and give her daughters proper husbands when she becomes Queen. Ella refuses to do that to Kit, and Lady Tremaine smashes the glass shoe and locks Ella into her attic room.
The kingdom was in an uproar over the mysterious princess, and the death of the King (who was very ill) and politics being what they were, even after the King gives the Prince permission to marry his true love, the grand Duke has other plans. They tour the kingdom looking for the owner of the glass slipper that was left behind, and when they finally reached the last house, Lady Tremaine greets them. Having made a deal with the Duke (she would keep the secret engagement the duke had set up between the prince and a foreign princess secret, and would hide Ella from the Prince, if he would guarantee her daughters be wed to high ranking men and she be instated as a Countess), Lady Tremaine invites them in to try the shoe on the feet of her daughters, swearing they were the only eligible women on the premises.
As the party was leaving they heard Ella singing from her attic window, and while the Duke tried to dismiss it, the Prince's friend and Captain of his Guard stops them. The Duke tries again, but a random soldier in the group reveals himself to be Kit, the Prince himself, and sends the Captain in. The Captain insists Lady Tremaine take him to the mystery girl. She does so, and immediately forbids Ella from trying on the shoe, but the Captain outranks her. Lady Tremaine tries again, saying she outranked him as she was Ella's mother, and Ella declares she was never her mother and leaves with the Captain. She tries on the shoe, though Kit knew very well who she was, and finally gives Kit her name, "Cinderella", using the cruel nickname her stepsisters had given her. As they leave together, her stepsisters throw themselves at her, apologizing, and Ella accepts. As they turn to leave her childhood house, she turns and tells her stepmother that she forgives her.
Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella, and the Grand Duke are banished from the kingdom.
Kit and Ella get married and ascend the throne as King and Queen of the Kingdom, and became the land's most beloved monarchs, ruling with the courage and kindness Ella had promised her mother, and they lived happily ever after... (x)

Until chaos overtook the world. Villains rose and invaded. Their kingdom had never been very big, or very strong; they did not have much in the way of an army - that was the primary reason the Grand Duke wanted Kit to marry a foreign Princess, to gain their allegiance and access their resources, material and marshal. Despite the brave efforts of her people, the strategy of her love, his Captain, their top officials, their kingdom was falling. Ella, while brave and calm outwardly, threatened to break inside. All of those people, all of the helpless lives, destroyed or killed, and they were helpless. Kit, rallying the last of his men, went out to lead the charge to take back their capital city.

He was never seen again.

Queen Ella was in charge of the Kingdom, and she was in way over her head, far out of her depth. She wasn't born and bred a Queen. She did not know how to fight a war, how to organize a resistance, and losing Kit made every moment feel like she was about to step over the side of the cliffs that lined the road. Luckily for her people, the villains soon left after her husband had run out to meet them. She did not have to fight the war, only orchestrate her kingdom's recovery. But could it ever truly recover without Kit? Could she?

Storyline Specific Information: Her transformation item will be a diamond necklace that had belonged to Kit's mother.

Senshi Information

Senshi Name: Sailor Papillon
Realm of Influence(s): Glass, Illusions, Bending light
Henshin/Transformation Phrase: Papillon Princess Power, Make Up!
Senshi Fuku: Sailor Papillon's attire is a shorter, less voluminous version of the dress her Fairy Godmother created for her the night of the ball, complete with glass slippers topped with a small golden butterfly. Her dress is various shades of blue, a lighter hue coloring her torso and the second layer of her skirt, a darker hue creeping up from the bottom of her outer skirt, accenting her v-shaped belt, sailor collar, and short-tied bow at her breast. The skirt itself is short - just reaching her upper thigh - and the dress is sleeveless, though accented with small sheer, three-tiered sleeve-like accessories a lighter shade of blue than the rest of her dress. To mimic the absent volume of her missing ballgown, a long, sheer blue bow is attached to the back of her skirt; it sways when she moves, similar to the skirt of the dress she wore that night. She wears a dark blue choker around her neck, small pin-point earrings made of glass, and a silver tiara, accented with a blue gem. At her breast, in the middle of the blue bow, is a glass heart-shaped brooch, a golden butterfly inscribed inside. Her hair is pulled back out of her face, curled, and dotted with tiny gemstones that catch and reflect light.
Queen Form:

Powers:
Papillon Shining Chrysalis! - Description: Sailor Papillon raises her right hand above her head and a multifaceted glass-like crystal appears, shining multi-colored light in the direction of her target. The light bends around the target and seems to transform the object into another object of Sailor Papillon's choice. Effects: visual transformation of one object into another. Strengths: Very convincing transformation. Weaknesses: Not a true transformation, but an illusion of one.

Papillon Glittering Shards! - Description: Sailor Papillon braces herself, both hands facing her target. Once the words are uttered, thousands of glass shards shoot out of her hand and encase the target in glass, sealing them in place. With a snap of her fingers, the glass explodes into a thousand pieces, severely damaging the enemy. The time between encasement and the snap to explode is dependent on Sailor Papillon. Effects: Enemies have sharp shards of glass shot at them, some embedding in their skin/outer layers (ow), are encased in glass (yikes), and when she snaps her fingers, the glass around them explodes (even more ow).  Strengths: immobilizes the enemy, deals damage. If enemy is not hit, the glass will form into a small glass mountain on the floor, which she could still make explode (so she could set them as mines). Weaknesses: She must be able to use her hands and snap her fingers to release the glass. The glass can be broken by others.
Weapons or Magical Items: Unbreakable Glass Slippers - These glass high heels, unlike her first pair, will never shatter.
Guardian: Fairy Godmother

RP Sample:
It was raining outside.

She couldn't move, the weight of loss turning her body to lead. Her mother... her father... Kit... She stared sightlessly out the window, her legs curled up to her chest in the window-seat, long pale fingers intertwined together. She pressed against her ring finger again and again, as though assuring herself that it had all been real, that she had met him, that they had danced the night away and fallen in love. That he had found her and helped her free herself and her parent's house from the Lady Tremaine. That they had been married, and had been happy together. The weight on her chest dulled the happy memories, giving birth to the doubt, but the sharp pain in her chest that made her cry assured her that it had been real. It had been, and now it was not, and would never be again. Kit was gone - he had left to defend their city and all of the people within, and had not returned. She didn't want to go on without him. the way he challenged her, the way he made her laugh, the way he reacted to her, valued her opinions. The way he smiled, his laugh... tears trailed her cheeks again.

A door opened softly behind her, and she buried her hurt. Have courage, and be kind.

"Your Majesty?" a soft voice called.

"It's raining outside," Ella stated, and stood to gaze out the window again, this time with more calculation. There was work to be done - she did not have time to sit around. People were in pain, and she had to help them. "We need to provide adequate shelter and food for the refugees that were pouring into the city throughout the night, and those whose homes were damaged during the attack."

"We're running out of space to house them, Majesty," the woman replied timidly.

"Open the palace to them, and request the houses in the inner city open their guest rooms to families. We need to work together to get through this." She turned, her cheeks wet, her eyes soft, but her lips in a tight, tense line. "How are the wounded?"
