Anime News Network

When I first looked this anime up on Wiki, I wasn't sure at all. To me, artwork plays a lot into how much I love a show, yes I know.. shallow. However this is one of my TOP favorite animes of all time! For some people they draw things out too much, and granted that can be true, but it's so adorable and touching that the anticipation makes it so much easier to connect to. Nothing happens automatically in real life, problems happens, mistakes are made, and courage is hard to find.

Like I said before, the art work put me off at first. It was different, and not as "pretty" as I was used to, and yet, there are moments when they draw the main character as being stunning. You eventually feel like you are sharing those moments with the people who see her that way, and makes them more believe able.

The Character development is slow, and can be tedious, but the friendships and changes that take place make you wish you were apart of it. The show develops and fills out the characters out nicely as well.

All in All, the progression, the anticipation, and it's unique artwork all work in it's favor and has become one of my favorite animes.

I actually found this series while looking through my dashboard. I remember stumbling upon a screencap and found the chibi characters to be really adorable. So I asked the person who posted the screencap what the series was called and so I decided to look it up.

At first I wasn't sure if I was going to like the anime since I hadn't watched an anime sine toonami showed anime. I also wasn't sure I would like the animation style since it was so new compared to Tenchi Muyo and Sailor Moon. But after watching the first episode I couldn't get enough of the series. Just this year, I also watched as the 2nd season of this show aired in Japan. I loved the first season and wanted and was expecting a second season but for some reason I felt the 2nd season was short and not as well developed as the 1st season.

As of now, I'm collecting the manga that they've started releasing here in the U.S. I'm almost positive that the anime will be released here in the U.S. as well so I'm just waiting for the announcement.

I actually had started this anime a while ago. And I actually liked the artwork because of how different it is. I prefer that manga-anime look. Hehe. I watched a few episodes and I rather liked it. But, I stopped because I realized that I was getting too interested in it and I already was watching other anime and manga. XD Plus, I wanted to wait for it to finish. Hehe. The first season is over, yes? Does it have a "finished" kind of feel to it? Whenever a story involves a couple, I just cannot handle cliffhangers or unresolved issues. lol. But it's true!

Well both Season 1 AND 2 are out, and I would say season too completes it nicely Smile

I didn't know there was a manga out in English though! Does it follow really closely to the Anime? Or is it different? I don't bother reading manga if it's word for word what the anime does, and vice versa.

I actually have the first 5 volumes of the manga but haven't read them since I'm waiting for them to all come out before I start to read them. I'm pretty sure that the manga is the same as the first season but being since the 2nd season was condensed I'm almost positive that the manga has a lot more details and goes further than where the anime left off. Oh and I just found out that the anime is going to be licensed here in the U.S. Source

I really like Kimi Ni Todoke, both seasons and the live action.
I'm still collecting the manga though.

I really like the artwork and the characters, specially Ayane Yano. The series has a nice message for the viewers and it's really touching.
The live action was also nice and since it had Haruma Miura it turned out perfect, he does the perfect Kazehaya.
I want to read the manga but I haven't been able to find the other volumes on store T-T

I just started watching the series. I got a preview of the manga back when it appeared in Shojo Beat as a preview when the magazine was still being published, and it is really good~

Oh, you just started watching it? I actually prefer the first season rather than the second season. I think the second season wasn't necessary since the manga basically shows how the story ends. I also thought that the second season was a bit rushed. The cliffhangers are good though C: and I'm sure you'll enjoy the series if you're into typical shoujo series. Just a warning, this series can leave you a bit frustrated and you'll see why. LOL
