The new theme song seems to be directly about the series not like moonlight densetsu.

Hmm I'm not sure, they did sing two. Maybe it was a promo song. I would expect one of the two to be a theme song though.

I've been reading about this everywhere since this morning! Woohoo!!! I can't wait for the new Sailor Moon to arrive!

I just hope it doesn't turn out like the new Transformers (but of course, Hasbro was behind this abomination). I really can't wait for this, but I do want them to keep to the core of what SM is about. I just feel they are going to dumb it down and make if too much for kids. I actually JUST heard about this and couldn't believe my eyes.

So is this just a remake of the old anime or a completely brand new series after stars or something new all together?

I hope so! If they make it super long then I will make myself watch it! It would be awesome if they showed it on the adult swim version of Toonami.

I'm not trying to get my hopes up or anything but I'd like to see a new anime with a new villain or a continuation of the old starring chihiusa and her guardian senshi. Perhaps more modern technology and new fukus? If its geared toward adults then there definitely needs to be more usagixmamoru interaction and not just a hug and kiss now and then as sweet and endearing as that is. I realize the battle scenes are pretty dark but darker couldn't hurt... More of the outers for sure especially Saturn and Pluto because lets face it they got shafted! I hope they'll make a OVA if they continue with the old series about sailor V and perhaps michiru and haruka. These are just my thoughts with me not getting my hopes up.

I get to see sailor moon kick butt again and that's all that matters to me.

To be honest I don't think that a new series would be A disappointment. In fact whilst watching the livestream, over 85,000 people were watching it too. That's like a 1 in every 12 people in Auckland! Obviously Sailor Moon is a huge deal in Japan still! It's a defining series. Sailor Moon defined the 1990s in Asia to a huge extent. A revival series should be pretty high standard, I think.

We all grew up with sailor moon and maybe I'm going to far when I say I hope it's geared toward adults and not little kids because I don't think they could ever appreciate it as much as we do. Ami, Rei, Minako, and Makoto cant all be in junior high forever. I'd really like to see how all their lives turned out with maybe a ten years in the future type deal where their powers have been dormat for so long and then a new evil rears it's ugly head causing them to have to come out of retirement with power upgrades in eternal form and I guess sailor moon would get a mega upgrade then? I got digimon on my brain this morning >.> can we please make a thread of what we'd all like to see in this new sereis?
