A short knock sounded at the door of Jasper's hospital room, soon followed by the abrupt entry of Inspector Mori. The patient was not familiar with the man, greeting the detective with a cool gaze that reminded the senior police officer all too much of his supervisor's ire.

Unexpectedly, Jasper was being visited by the same young girl that had questioned Mori before. That is very sweet of her, the older gentleman thought to himself; her gift of flowers and her pleasant demeanor had not gone unnoticed. Jasper seemed to have no friends, only acquaintances from his supervisory position at Home Phone.

"Oh! Sorry for the interruption, I thought Mr. Franklin was alone. I wished to speak to him regarding the attack, but if you two are occupied then I can return later.."

She looked up at the Inspector, slightly surprised, but her expression soon softened into a polite smile.

"I was just on my way out," she assured him, turning back towards Jasper with a respectful bow. "Have a good day, gentlemen."

She exited the hospital room, acknowledging both as she stepped through the door. Her habits as a "good kid" where both well-ingrained in her and extremely convenient to exercise in scenarios like this one.

That didn't mean, however, that she wasn't interested in knowing what Inspector Mori was hoping to glean from the injured young man with questionable background. She left the door slightly ajar, as was common in hospitals anyway--doors were rarely closed unless absolute privacy was needed for something medical in nature--and glanced down the hallway. Her keen eyes looked for a spot where she could stand without seeming to be loitering or troublesome. There was a slight alcove just across the hall, not too far from a stairwell, that seemed like an ideal spot.

She slipped the Mini Supercomputer out of her pocket and booted it up, holding it suspended in her open hand. If her ears couldn't hear them, the sensitive microphone in her device would hopefully be able to record their conversation for her to examine later.

Once Ami had excused herself, the plainclothes policeman decided to occupy the same chair that the girl genius had utilized moments before. "Mister Franklin, I took some time to investigate the question of why you would be attacked by a mob of thirty men and women." Producing a large notepad from beneath the folds of his coat, Mori began to flip through hand-scrawled notes that were legible only to its author.

"You are a customer service supervisor for Home Phone, and you watch over a number of employees. After speaking with your colleagues, I'm to understand that the only tension in your workplace is between yourself and Yashiro Yamaguchi.."

Jasper met the detective's question with an armor-piercing stare. "You're referring to Yokuba, aren't you?"

Inspector Mori blanched at that description. Yokuba was a pejorative name attributed to Yamaguchi's nephew, derived from the term that signaled the presence of avarice and greed. This suited Yashiro very well, but he could not admit that openly. However, Jasper had taken it upon himself to brand the favored relative of a syndicate boss with such a title, so Mori was now merely affirming his identity.

"Correct. I have identified some of your attackers, and a number of them were known associates of Yashiro. They had claimed to be under the influence of a hypnotic phone call-"

Rather than wait for Mori to continue on his tangent, Jasper breathed out an exasperated sigh. This officer seemed to be a good man, but he was missing the forest for the trees. "That's good and all, but how does this relate to Yokuba? Was he not directly involved in the attack?"

Mori shifted in his seat and adjusted his tie, preparing to answer Jasper's queries. He was a sharp young man, approximately half of the inspector's age. Privately, he worried that the foreigner had stumbled directly into some ugly underworld spat.

"He was not. They all have a criminal background, but I am looking for context. Why would they attack you? Though you're an expatriate, your record is clean."

Jasper shrugged his shoulders. "I don't go out of my way to look for trouble, Inspector. Shouldn't we be concerned more about the rabblerouser who knocked me over the head with a pipe?"

Mori's cell phone rang at that very moment, carrying a distinct musical chime associated with an American vice drama he had watched as a child. He excused himself to answer the phone, listening expectantly. "Mori speaking..."

His brow then wrinkled in sudden anger and surprise. "WHAT!? How? Start looking for him right away. He couldn't have gone very far."

The rest of Rei's afternoon was largely uneventful, with exception to the sudden attention that she received from Kaede. Though some of the girl's questions were borderline ignorant, Rei decided that they were a welcome distraction from the mob attack that had targeted Jasper earlier that day. Ultimately, Kaede and her antics weren't that hard to stomach; there were many parallels that she shared with a certain pigtailed princess. The otaku was like a precious seed that needed to be nurtured and cared for until the time came for her to blossom into a dependable sailor soldier.

The phone rang, and Rei wasted little time in picking up the receiver. She hoped that the voice on the other end of the telephone was someone other than the police or concerned inidividuals who wanted to believe that her shrine was dangerous. Though Schwarzpferd had not shown his face today, it was a sure bet that he was somehow responsible for the violence that had unfolded in front of her shrine.

That man would get a taste of Sailor Mars's ruby red heels before she was through with him.

"Finally!" Minako said when Rei picked up. "This is Minako! Hey, so you know that thing I took out of Jasper's car after the cops came? Oh wait, I didn't show it to you..." Minako frowned, and then brightened up again.

"Well I found this guidebook for a telephone company and I just finished reading through it. This guy wrote the entire thing by himself, in English and Japanese, isn't that crazy? Anyway, I wanted to go investigate it, but I thought you might want to look at the book first. You know, to see if there's any weird vibes coming from it? So can I come over?"

Rei breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing Minako speak, using both of her hands to hold the phone receiver to her ear. She was eager to hear of what her friend had taken, now that the police were off dealing with other concerns.

"W-wait, it's written in both English and Japanese?" Rei asked, listening closely to Minako's description of the stolen book and its bilingual nature. That rat Jasper seemed even more suspicious for having a position of authority in a local business, and it would only be logical to tear down language barriers if he wanted to manipulate other people.

"Yes, come right away! If he's plotting anything with the office workers, we'll put an end to his evil scheme before anyone can be hurt."

A beautiful, cloudless summer sky hovered above Tokyo Summerland, a water-themed amusement park that was notable for being open from the beginning of March to late November. Many slides, large and small, beckoned forth to the visitors looking for some slippery thrills. Other prominent attractions included the presence of a large outdoor wave pool, manmade waterfalls, and a lazy river ideal for floating on inner tubes.

Though the park also offered amusement rides and special areas for golf and tennis, the most interesting element of Tokyo Summerland was the designers' foresight to construct indoor areas that would ward off rainy weather. Beneath the glass-topped Adventure Dome lay even more water slides, an indoor extension of the wave pool, a hot tub, and an onsen that was popular among dating couples.

Thanks to Usagi's planning (or more specifically Ikuko-mama's prudence), the young blonde was able to secure modest, affordable admission rates for her family and friends.

Home Phone Headquarters

The popular English idiom "on call" carried a bit more weight with Jasper Franklin than most other business or emergency personnel. This particular Sunday morning found him filling the role of department manager over a host of live and virtual customer representatives, the latter of whom were present through the miracle of modern-day communications software. Several rows of gray cubicle walls lined the wide office floor, allowing a modest allotment of space for each employee to carry out their assignments.

Due to his efforts in training and other human resource development, Jasper was elevated to a supervisory position where he could observe Home Phone employees and silently critique their practices. At this moment, he was evaluating one such call, hazel eyes flashing between the grading sheet and the intranet chatroom dialogue on his computer screen.

Too much use of phone blackout. It should be limited to concealing credit card information.

A short blip echoed in his headset, indicating that one of the representatives was signaling for assistance. An escalated call! The customer in question demanded to speak to a supervisor, and it was regarding the issue of an improperly cancelled phone service agreement. Jasper took a short breath to clear his thoughts, then spoke a calm, pleasant opening as he transferred the call to his own receiver.

"Thank you for calling Home Phone! This is Jasper speaking. How many I help you today?"

A junior high student stood inside of a waterpark, about 30 minutes away from her hometown. Her face was bright red, hot from exposure to the sun and excitement for what was to come. She wore a bikini top and swimsuit trunks of all things with palm leaf patterns. She clutched a bright pink bag and "Sailor V" beach towel. She wore red swimming goggles atop her pixie cut.

Kaede whistled through her teeth, looking this way and that at the people entering and leaving the park.

Her eyes sparkled in giddiness as she waited for people to arrive. She wondered if she came too early. Of course, after all, true sailor soldiers couldn't be bothered arriving before the set time. They were probably taking out a criminal or something. They probably wouldn't be on time. They were too cool for that.

After meeting up with Rei, she was disappointed to ind out that there weren't any evil intentions attached to the book that could be sensed, but Minako was still determined to figure out more about Jasper. And so the day Usagi had scheduled to go to the water park, Minako had called her friends to tell them that she'd be a little late.

It had taken some time to convince Artemis to give her the disguise pen back, but it was worth it. That morning, Minako stood in front of the Home Phone company as a deliveryman, complete with a fake package and clipboard. They let her walk past the reception desk with no issue, and soon she was standing in front of a large maze room of cubicles. But where did Jasper sit...?

"Maybe I should have thought this out more..." Minako said under her breath, adjusting her fake post office worker's cap.

Always prompt, Ami adjusted the totebag on her shoulder and scanned the crowd at the waterpark, searching for her friends. As usual, her attire was simple and suited for the activity at hand. She carried just enough supplies in her bag to make a day at the pool comfortable, without weighing her down.

Her eyes caught sight of a brown-haired girl in a palm-themed bathing suit, recognizing her as the civilian form of the new sailor soldier from the other day, Makemake.

"Good day," she greeted Kaede, approaching slowly. "How are you?"

Ami smiled at the other girl, a natural and serene expression that often punctuated her conversations.

"Looks like we're both earlier than Usagi and the others."

Jasper listened intently to the caller, setting aside his own personal thoughts of their coarse vocal inflection. Investigating their account details revealed an inconsistency in shipping addresses; the last representative failed to double-check their information before placing a mail order.

A mouthful of calming words and a couple of overrides later, Jasper had successfully deescalated the call and spared Home Phone the (rightful) ire of a customer. Having completed that challenge, he received an urgent calling of a different nature. His fingers soon translated the message into a digital broadcast in the support chatroom.

>> Taking a 5 minute break. Keep up the good work, everyone!

While Jasper did not explicitly describe the nature of his break, every person on the job with more than a single day of experience understood that he required a visit the restroom.

As he stood up from his computer desk, Jasper's head and shoulders appeared above the trim of the cubicle panels. He moved out of the workspace and past the disguised Minako, politely excusing himself as he sought the men's lavatory.

Makoto had leapt at the chance to attend a special judo seminar in the mountains of Japan. She had found the course online months before school started and had been scrimping and saving every penny for it. It was a great chance to improve her skills, and she couldn't complain about the bathing in the hot springs either.

She had missed her friends these last few days. In fact being away from civilization with just a handful of students and instructors had given her time to reflect on just about everything. Makoto realized just how much her friends really meant to her. She had also done a lot of thinking about the long term future after school. Her dreams of going into business for herself had seemed so daunting when she looked at just how much it would cost to run a bakery, or even to run a florist's shop. The numbers had made her head spin. But as she sweated it out in the mountains she came to the realization that she would have said the same thing if someone told her she was going to be a senshi and battle demons! Togther they had gotten there one step at a time. Makoto realized she had Ami to help her make sense of the numbers, and Usagi to cheer her on when her determination flagged, Minako with her flair for design and enthusiasm, and Rei who always had some wise word of advice. The brunette couldn't help but smile. She had gotten herself all worked up trying to go it alone again. She had to learn to stop thinking like that.

Yesterday one of the instructors had offered that she could stay on for the advanced class, lasting two weeks and she had been torn, yet pondering the offer. However last night she received the strangest communication from the girls. Makoto snuck out away from the other students to catch up with them every so often, just the usual chat about summer break. But last night's hurried communication had made absolutely no sense to her whatsoever. She understood the words, but what did a horse head and some German guy have to do with anything? She had been more confused than alarmed, especially because her chat was interrupted by a student who decided, in all the wide space of the mountains, to come and meditate right near her. Makoto had basically managed to ascertain everyone was alright, and agreed to meet at the water park the next day. The advanced class was just going to have to wait until she could afford to come back.

Makoto barely had time to disembark from the train and run back to her place to change. She wore a pink bathingsuit with green trim, with small embroidered pink roses running along the top of the bodice. She had added that little touch herself. A small bag hung over her shoulder stuffed with a towel and a few essentials. Ami was already there and speaking to a brunette she did not recognize.

Hey Ami-chan! I missed you guys. Who's your friend?" She greeted the blue-nette and newcomer with a friendly smile.

"It's lovely to see you again, Makoto-chan," Ami said with a smile. She had missed the taller girl during Makoto's time away from the group. She couldn't have imagined it years ago, but now that she had her dear group of friends the temporary lack of any one of them felt strange and empty. "This is Kaede Morgan-san. She assisted us with some of the situations that occurred while you were gone."

That was as much as she could say without arousing too much suspicion. She punctuated her words with a marked expression that she hoped Makoto could read; the brunette didn't usually have a hard time understanding the need for discretion in public regarding sailor soldier matters. They'd have to have another meeting with Luna to determine if there was any additional information to sift through, now that the group was together.

"How was your seminar?"

Rei woke up the morning of their day trip to the waterpark knowing that the last thing she wanted to do was wait on Usagi. So after getting herself ready, Rei marched straight to Usagi's house and into the blonde's bedroom, throwing her out of bed and forcing her to get ready so that they wouldn't be late.

After much groaning and complaining from Usagi, Rei finally got the lazy blonde out of her house and on the way to the waterpark. They talked about little things, ranging from Luna's growing kibble diet to Haruna-sensei's new boyfriend. Eventually, they reached the waterpark to find Ami, Makoto, and Kaede already there. Rei gave her signature nod greeting, letting Usagi handle all of the hugs and the 'how are yous'.

"Where's Minako?" Rei asked. Of course Minako was the last to arrive.

Setsuna stood outside of her apartment building, staring into the sky with a quiet wistful look on her face as the gentle breeze played with the locks of her jade green hair, causing them to sway back and forth a little.  She adjusted the simple canvas bag over her shoulder that held everything she would need for this little outing happening today.  Their princess had suggested it, it seemed, and made the rounds calling everyone to bring their group together for a day of fun.

"Bringing everyone together, as she always does..."  She thought quietly, wandering down the sidewalk towards the bus stop just around the corner, knowing with a small wry smile gracing glossed lips that the next bus was just about to arrive.  Being the Guardian of Time came with its own set of perks.  The bus rolled to a stop just mere seconds after she had arrived, and she boarded with everyone else, choosing to sit close to a window so she could watch the scenery fly by.

After what had happened way back, Setsuna had disappeared from the public eye once again, retreating back to her apartment in Tokyo.  There had been no need for her presence anymore, with the others taking care of things.  But it didn't mean she hadn't been keeping up with other pressing matters that were important...at least Senshi wise.  As the bus rolled closer to the water park, she wondered what would be said once she arrived.  She hadn't been seen in quite a while, and she knew questions would be asked.

A few minutes later, the bus rolled to a stop, and Setsuna stood up, following a few people out of the bus, standing on the sidewalk just across from the water park as she spotted familiar figures standing there.  So she made her way over, quietly, the bag still held tightly in one hand.

Just as she was about to give up on her impromptu mission, Minako spotted her target standing up. There he was! She did her best to look like a bored worker as he walked by her, and then watched as he stepped into the men's room. Good, she had a few minutes to search now. She fast walked over to his now empty cubicle and set her fake package down on his desk. Alright, now what did he have hidden around here?

Minako looked around his work station, being careful not to move things out of place. There had to be something of interest...

Jasper squinted at a reflection of himself in the mirror of the men's room, illuminated by the crisp flourescent lights mounted into the ceiling. Warm water dribbled down his face into the sink, joining the lathered soap that had previously been assigned to scour his cheeks and jawline for imagined traces of dirt and dust.

His appearance never bothered him before. Why would today be any different? Something about this morning made Jasper feel uncomfortable, as if he was being watched.

While the young supervisor tended to his concerns of hygeine, Minako's examination turned up something of interest - a letter addressed to his workstation. The return address on the sealed envelope belonged to an unfamiliar firm, only identifying itself as "Scorpion Research and Development."

Seeing her friends here, together, for a casual day at the water park, made Ami feel a surge of happiness. With the recent events, this seemed like an even better excuse for relaxation and rest with good company. It was slightly concerning that Minako had not arrived, however... The blonde did have a tendency for lateness, but usually not when it was something she could wear a bikini to. Ami felt a slight suspicion that she might be late for other reasons, but she preferred soothing Rei to increasing the priestess's irritation.

"I hope Minako-chan arrives soon," she said softly. "If necessary we could reach out to her for an estimate."

When the tall figure with dusky skin joined the group, Ami found it a pleasant surprise. The two shared many preferences in common, and Ami enjoyed the opportunity to discuss topics of knowledge or theory with the woman whenever possible. She always appreciated being able to seek information and tales of experiences from those who had done so much more than herself, and the guardian of time could certainly boast such a reputation.

"Good day, Setsuna-san!" she greeted the older woman. "I'm glad you could join us."

Makoto nodded knowingly. Her blue haired friend had made it quite clear what type of situations she was referring to. She was just dying to hear that story, but for now, if Ami trusted her, she would too. “Nice to meet ya, I’m Makoto.” She said, offering her hand.

When Ami asked her about her seminar the brunette just about beamed. “Oh Ami-chan, it was amazing. The mountains were beautiful and I learned a lot, though I really still have a long way to go. One of the instructors there was so cute too! He looked a bit like my old sempai. I didn’t even mind if he beat me at sparring.” She blushed just a tad bit as the image of said instructor came to mind. But her dreamy thoughts were interrupted by more arrivals. Rei, Usagi, and Setsuna had come. Makoto didn’t get to see Setsuna very often so the sight of their time senshi friend made her smile. “Hi Usagi-chan, Rei-chan. Setsuna-chan, it’s great that you could come. I really missed you guys when I was away.”

With Ami’s next comment Makoto realized they were still missing Minako. She was usually timely unlike their other blonde companion. “Yeah, that is odd. I wonder what Minako-chan is doing. She’s not usually late.” Although, seeing as this was a water park, she might be busy doing the finishing touches on a super cute swimsuit outfit. Minako was always fashionable. It was always interesting to see what outfits she put together. Makoto wouldn’t even dream of trying to pull off such cute feminine looks but they looked great on Minako.

"Ami!" Kaede said with a wide smile. "I'm doing awesome! How are you?"

She couldn't believe it. For the longest time, she had been a fan of Sailor Moon and her friends and now she was actually going to a water park with them! Of course, she couldn't brag to her friends at T*A Academy about it, but she didn't care. This was her own joyful secret. It was amazing.

Then a new person stepped up to them. Kaede blinked and looked up she came under the girl's shadow.

"Yes. I am K-kaede Morgan."

She began sweating terribly. Who was this person? She was very tall and very cool but who exactly was she? She wondered if this was another sailor senshi. It was hard to tell, since for all she knew there was no real way to tell. She had bumped into classmates and family while disguised as Sailor Makemake and none of them seemed to recognize her. It was a curious thing.

"Situations?" she whispered to Ami. "Is she... you know... into super sentai too?"

But she was soon distracted. Her eyes lit up with wonder as Rei, Usagi and Setsuna approached them. She began to dance in place, almost as though she had to use the restroom. The whole situation was making her way too excited. Her heart began to race, but she hardly noticed it. If she could die right here, she would have lived life to the fullest potential.

"Rei-senpai! And Sailor- I mean, Usagi! Hi! And hello, you!"

She didn't seem to know who Setsuna was. For all she knew, she was someone's older sister.

Setsuna smiled, nodding her head towards Ami's direction, shifting a little on her feet.

"I wouldn't miss this chance to see you all for the world.  Such a nice day to be doing this too."

Minako's eyes lit up when she spotted an unopened letter, and she glanced around before picking it up. There was no sight of Jasper yet, so maybe she had time to read it. She looked at the return address and tilted her head. What kind of business was Scorpion Research and Development? It definitely sounded suspicious to her. Who named a company after scorpions unless they were evil?

Three seconds later, she was tearing the letter open with all the skill of a child getting a birthday card. She looked around again and skimmed the letter itself for any details that could lead to something important. There had to be something incriminating in this...

The sealed envelope yielded to Minako's curiosity, and with the letter came the faint aroma of scented, pumice-based hand cleaner.

To Jasper Franklin, c/o Home Phone:

Jasper's voice became audible just moments after Minako finished reading the letter. "Nice to see you here," spoke the supervisor in an expectant tone. He was too close for her to determine the direction of his voice; was her cover blown?

In actuality, Jasper had come within 5 meters of his cubicle before detecting the presence of another individual. A shorter man in a white suit had just arrived, wearing what looked like a pair of aviator sunglasses. Though falling beneath the American's height, there was a similar air of authority expressed in his unblemished, snide counternance. Aside of two thin wisps that framed either side of his face, the youth's black hair was worn long, pulled back into a ponytail that extended just below his shoulders.

Jasper took a deep breath, putting forth the best smile he could manage. After all, this was the individual whose absence he had graciously decided to cover. "You're looking chipper today, Yokuba. How's your uncle doing?"

The other man removed his sunglasses just so Jasper could see the full brunt of his disdainful expression. "Why not ask him yourself, Franklin-san? He will be hosting a shareholder's meeting after lunch."

Minako read the letter over, trying to get the most out of it as she could. It sounded fishy for sure. Was Jasper about to participate in some backroom bargain deal between companies to sabotage something? Minako was no business expert, but it didn't sound very legal. It was thuggish in a way...

She almost squealed in surprise as Jasper's voice emerged from behind her, and then she realized that he was just talking to someone else on the way back. She had to get out before he returned to his desk!. Leavign her fake package as a distraction, she shoved the letter into her disguise's pocket and slipped under Jasper's desk to fumble for her transformation pen.

In a muted flash of orange, Sailor Venus was hidden in his cubicle. Now all she needed to do was sneak over to a nearby window. While Jasper was occupied with a man in a white suit, she slipped out of his cubicle and ducked under another table.

Venus rolled out from it to get behind the opposite wall, and then crawled over to a cracked window. Careful not to bang anything, she edged the sill open a crack and then pushed it the rest of the way up. So far so good.... With a graceful leap, Venus vaulted out of the building and landed on the ground in the alley beside it.

"Another win for Sailor V!" she said to herself. Who knew she was such a good spy? And now that she was in the clear, it was off to the water park! Venus dropped her transformation and strolled onto the sidewalk. She could catch the next bus over to Tokyo Summerland without being too late for the fun.

The verbal sparring match between the two managers continued for a few minutes, offering Sailor Venus a valuable opportunity to sneak out of the office. While keeping up appearances of politeness, Jasper and Yokuba had no shortage of barbs to exchange with one another.

What bothered Jasper the most about this discussion was neither Yokuba's irresponsibility or the questions of his personal priorities, but rather its frequent occurance. It was starting to feel like both of them were merely phoning in their individual insults before punching the clock.

Returning to his desk, Jasper's eyebrows raised up at the presence of a package. Was this a gift from the young woman who visited him in the hospital? He lifted the parcel up in his hands, examining it for a return address. It was addressed to him by name, but no physical address was present; instead, it was merely signed with an esoteric "V."

After using his car keys to cut the packing tape, Jasper rifled through the contents of the package. Old newspaper served to make up the bulk of its weight, protecting its lone inhabitant from the rigors of postal transit. Upon removing the wadded paper, Jasper found himself staring at a plush doll of a cute white cat.

He couldn't remember if it had a name; his sense of déjà vu was preoccupied with finding a reason for its own existence. Though the animal had a golden crescent sigil on its brow, the young businessman was more concerned with when he had last seen such a creature. It was on a nameless evening two years in the past. The feline's eyes sparkled with intelligence, while its white fur shone brightly in the light of the moon..

Curse me for a fool.

Jasper dashed out of the office and towards the stairs, descending them at a breakneck pace. After exiting the Home Phone building, he looked down either side of the street for signs of the eponymous Sailor V as he leaned against a nearby utility pole.

Between the shock of his discovery and the five flights of stairs, Jasper was out of breath. As he gasped for air, a familiar sight caught his eyes - a beautiful blonde that he had spied while paying an ill-fated visit to Sendai Hill. She was part of Ami Mizuno's study group, as was the sharp-tongued shrine maiden.

Jasper wanted to approach her and make an introduction. He wanted to thank her for contacting the authorities, and also to thank them for deterring opportunistic theft of property from his vehicle in the aftermath of the mob attack.

He could do all of that once his lungs stopped aching.

Minako turned the corner just as Jasper burst out the building, startling her. He caught up with her that fast? Preparing to run for it, she then realized that he looked half dead after presumably running down at full speed. And it would look weird if she just ran away for no reason. Minako would have to play innocent until she could slip away.

She was a first class actor, an idol in the making! She could do this, right? Against all sense of self preservation, Minako took a deep breath and approached Jasper.

"Wow, are you okay?"  she asked, sounding concerned.

Jasper tilted his head off of the utility pole, making what he thought was the closest gesture to a nod. Though his chest still hurt, he couldn't do much to hide the smile in his voice. "Someone left a package for me at my office desk. I tried to catch up to them, but they've already left."

The fire in Jasper's lungs died down after a few seconds of hard breathing, allowing him to stand upright and address Minako with a more dignified composure. "By the way, I've seen you somewhere before.."

Jasper then snapped his fingers in revelation, looking rather pleased with the discovery of his answer. "You must be one of Ami's friends! I think I saw you before that incident with the Pigman and his flash mob."

"The deliverymen never stick around for very long, do they? At least you didn't have to sign for it!" When he mentioned seeing her before, she backpedaled. "W-what? I would have remembered that..." Minako relaxed when he just brought up the shrine again. So her cover wasn't blown yet...

"Oh yeah, the mob attack! Don't worry about your car, the mob was dispersed by the senshi, so it didn't get too banged up." She just needed to navigate through this conversation so she could get to the park. "It's great to see that you're alright though. I'm kind of running late for something at the water park, so I should get going!"

Jasper kept a placid smile on his face as Minako passed on her own opinion about the strange delivery. He couldn't go into further details, considering that he learned the package was from Sailor V of all people. What interest did the sailor senshi have in him, anyway?

The young lady seemed rather startled when Jasper recalled his last memory of sighting her location, but it didn't strike him as strange. Rather, it was the senshi's sudden intervention that he would have considered to be out of place. Were they catching up to the flash mob? It seemed possible, but they wouldn't have hesitated to break up the unruly citizens if life and property had been endangered.

Jasper didn't want to dwell on the possibility that they were watching him too.

"Both the car and I are doing well; it only suffered glass damage. As for being late, would you need a ride to the waterpark?"

"A ride?" Minako's eyes lit up at the thought of being driven around in that nice car. And it'd be faster than the bus...

"That'd be great! I mean, if it's not an inconvenience..." she said. She couldn't wait to tell everyone about this. Sneaking into a building and getting a free car ride away? This was definitely straight out of a spy movie.

After Jasper pulled up to the entrance gate of the water park, Minako grabbed her duffle bag and opened up the passenger door. On a foreign car like this, that meant that she came out the right side. She wondered if it looked like she had actually driven it from a distance...

"Thanks for bringing me here!" Minako said, cheerfully  waving before she turned to run inside. Now where were those girls? After getting her ticket and changing into her two piece orange swim suit in the bathroom, she spotted a familiar group of people talking together.

"Sorry I'm late!" Minako ran up to them, tired but still excited. "I was doing some investigation that took a while."
