I recall it being a Saturday morning block for a period of time and also being a Satruday prime time block. I don't remember when it was that though. I remember Miguzi though because I sometimes watched Totally Spies since nothing else would be on. -_-
Toonami had a Saturday block several times in its run both in the morning and in the evening. When Toonami first premiered, they had a two hour Saturday night block that was reruns of the weekday shows. In the early 2000s, they started a Saturday morning block that was three hours long and was likewise a repeat of weekday afternoon shows. Before Toonami was canceled, they started a three hour Saturday night block that featured new content and canceled the weekday airings.

'm not a american but why you want that tonami?? it's seems like its similar to the german pokito.
pokito
= endless animes/mainstream animes, cencored animes, kids animes ..... i
didnt know a real german animefan who still like pokito after they
growing up.
pokito now: Dragon Ball Z (censored), Naruto (censored), One Piece (censored), Pokemon, Digimon. also in the past: Precure, Jeanne, Doremi, Monster Rancher, Wedding Peach.
nobody needs censored animes,
nobody need that the tv station will show again and again and again the same shows since YEARS oO
I can't speak for Germany's dubs, but with the exception of Sailor Moon, DBZ, Robotech, and Voltron, most of Toonami's dubs have actually been pretty accurate to the original version, especially when compared to 4Kids and Saban. They mostly just took anime series that already had uncut dubs on home video and then edited them for violence and nudity for TV. But the dialog was like 98% the same as the uncut dub, they kept all the Japanese names and cultural references, and with the exception of the opening theme being replaced with the Toonami intros, they kept all of the original music too. Toonami was actually something of a milestone in the dubbing history of Western anime and I think it really helped lead to a greater demand for accurate and professional dubs. Most dubs today are either completely uncut or lightly edited. About the only dub still butchered on American TV is 4Kids' dub of Yugioh.

Ah yes, you are are totally right.

And speaking of 4kids, do they still do Pokemon? Is Pokemon still heavily edited? You got me curious now.

4Kids gave up their license to Pokemon and now it's being dubbed by Pokemon USA. All I know about the new dub is that they have new VAs which aren't as good as the old ones but I haven't seen enough of the new episodes or the Japanese version to know how accurate the dub is. The only bit of the Japanese version of Pokemon I've seen has been some fansubs of some of the movies.

I wasn't around Pay TV enough to watch Toonami. This was my Toonami:

It started at about 630 or 7 (after the aerobics lol). Honestly, I would have been nothing without this before primary school show.

Then they started airing Toasted TV in... Internet says 2005 (I can't recall) and life was never the same again. However, for a while I did watch Sailor Moon on Fox 8 (when my parents would tape it for me every Friday at about 530).

Does anyone else remember that time Toonami had that Sailor Moon marathon? I still remember like one Saturday they had a marathon the whole day of the final 17 episodes of SMR and it was still the best Toonami moment for me.
